We are proud to partner with Indiana Fitness Works to bring you exceptional rehabilitation services in our dedicated rehab facility. Indiana Fitness Works brings a group of professionally trained, fully licensed and certified therapists who are experts in providing complete physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy programs- customized to meet the individual needs of each patient. Just as you’ve come to trust us with exceptional long-term care, we bring our trusted partner, Indiana Fitness Works, to serve an even broader range of needs in the community.

Physical therapy

Physical therapy helps the patient restore the use of muscles, bones, and the nervous system through the use of heat, cold, massage, whirlpool baths, ultrasound, exercise, aquatics, and various other techniques. It seeks to relieve pain, improve strength and mobility, and train the patient to perform important everyday tasks. Physical therapy may be prescribed to rehabilitate a patient after amputations, arthritis, burns, cancer, cardiac disease, cervical and lumbar dysfunction, neurological problems, orthopedic injuries, pulmonary disease, spinal cord injuries, stroke, traumatic brain injuries, and other injuries/illnesses.

Occupational therapy

Occupational therapy helps the patient regain the ability to do normal everyday tasks. This may be achieved by restoring old skills or teaching the patient new skills to adjust to disabilities through adaptive equipment, orthotics, and modification of the patient’s home environment. Occupational therapy may be prescribed to rehabilitate a patient after amputations, arthritis, cancer, cardiac disease, head injuries, neurological injuries, orthopedic injuries, pulmonary disease, spinal cord disease, stroke, and other injuries/illnesses.

Speech therapy

Speech therapy helps the patient restore swallowing difficulties, correct speech disorders, correct language delays, correct fluency disorders, correct voice/ resonance disorders, and improve/restore cognitive (expressive/receptive) disorders. Speech therapy may be prescribed to rehabilitate a patient after a brain injury, cancer, neuromuscular diseases, stroke, and other injuries/illnesses.

Respiratory Therapy

Our respiratory therapists are specially trained and licensed health care professionals assisting physicians in treatment and management of respiratory diseases. If you or your loved one have a diagnosis of COPD, emphysema, pneumonia or any other respiratory/breathing difficulties, we have a skilled and trained respiratory therapy staff who are solely focused and responsible to care for your respiratory and breathing needs. Our competition uses their nursing staff to care for respiratory needs allowing them to be occupied with other issues and not as readily available for breathing difficulties, which we know arise.

We provide both specialized and routine modalities including, but not limited to the following:

MDI instruction and delivery
EZ-PAP and other mucus clearance systems

Our Respiratory Therapy department is a full-service department with equipment and staff available for any potential admission.
